Full Time Travel Nanny for BUSY toddler and Infant | Fort Greene, Brooklyn (FILLED)

Really awesome young creative family thriving and living currently in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is looking for a really wonderful nanny to join them!  They have a little one currently age 2  and a baby due in April. We’re looking to find a full-time nanny, ideally in advance of the new baby arriving so that the toddler is settled with a new person before that big change happens.  This is a real international family American and British.  Position is full-time, live out. Mon-Fri, 9-7. Ideally with a bit of flexibility as their work hours are not set, and the ability to do overtime and the occasional overnight when needed. Both parents are in the TV & film industry which involves a lot of travel, so we’re looking to find someone who’s excited about travel . Trips range from two weeks to as long six months, often at fairly short notice, so they would like to find a nanny who sees the spontaneity and adventure as a perk. The toddler  is a chatty, happy little little human who loves books and music and dancing. They are a busy little bee and very affectionate. They are sociable and really enjoys meeting and playing with other children. They do have plans to relocate to Los Angeles in January 2024,  and they would love to bring our new nanny with us when they make this move or open to a temporary nanny as well.  We’re looking for someone loving, fun and happy to take initiative. Someone super organized who is always one step ahead would be the dream. Most of all someone who is going to become part of the family, as their  current nanny is and always will be (leaving only to start a family of her own). Experience with newborns / infant care . Making healthy meals for the toddler. Establishing feeding and sleeping schedules for the baby. Potty training the toddler this summer. Keeping both children busy with activities and play dates and getting them outside and active in the fresh air as much as possible.Finding/booking classes and activities and planning activities. Some housework pertaining to the kids: the children’s laundry; keeping their toys and books tidy and organized; keeping the diaper bag stocked and ready to go; doing inventory of diapers & wipes and suchlike; keeping fridge and cupboards stocked with their food, toiletries and provisions; changing sheets on their beds etc .Promote the engagement and exploration of new skills for the toddler and keep a schedule for the infant (feeding, sleeping). Work with the toddler on skills like putting on coat and shoes, set a table, clean up and practice pouring, etc. Work to develop independent learning through practice and activities, appropriate to age. Driver’s license and First Aid required. This family has had the same nanny since the toddler was 5 months old.  The main thing they love about their current nanny is really just know much she loves and cares about their toddler - a true proxy parent. Most importantly she is is just SO FUN!  She is, always planning and doing things with toddler and making sure there is a lot of time with other children.

Organization is key.  Keeping things the diaper bag fully stocked and ready to go. Making sure things are well stocked think diapers, wipes, formula and that the toddler (and soon to be infant) is packed and ready when we travel. Making extra food for for the children on a Friday so they have easy things in the fridge to make for the toddler over the weekend. These kind of things like that make a huge difference for the parents work-lives and schedules are so ever-changing and can only imagine it will become even more important when they have two!
Various work trips they have had nannies from all over - Australia, NZ, UK, Italy, Portugal & America.  A nanny who is international would be an awesome addition to this family.  Current nanny is from Senegal and has taught the toddler French, which was a huge bonus.  This is a really special family and special opportunity.
