Job Overview: A wonderful family in Brooklyn is in search of a nurturing and dedicated full-time nanny to join their household starting in mid-May. This position involves a two-week overlap with the current newborn care specialist and offers the flexibility of either a live-in or live-out arrangement.
Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary care for the family's child, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall happiness.
Collaborate and coordinate with the current newborn care specialist during the two-week overlap to facilitate a seamless transition.
Create and maintain a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment conducive to the child's growth and development.
Develop age-appropriate activities for both indoor and outdoor engagement.
Maintain a calm and quiet demeanor, embodying a gentle and kind-natured energy.
Demonstrate hyper-organization and proactiveness in planning daily routines and activities.
Encourage and support independent play while fostering a strong bond with the child.
Prepare and cook nutritious meals for the child.
Possess a valid driver's license and be open to driving as needed.
Be present in the moment, prioritizing the emotional well-being of the child.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in childcare, with a focus on infants and toddlers.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a highly desirable asset.
Safe driving record and willingness to travel when required.
Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries while becoming an integral part of the family.
Flexibility to work a Monday through Friday schedule with two consecutive days off.
Availability for occasional weekend work and evenings with advance notice.
Compensation: The family offers a competitive hourly rate ranging between $30 and $40, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Musts:
5 years or more experience working with infants
CPR/ First Aid Certified
Able to travel internationally and domestically.
Up to date with all vaccinations
Italian as a second Language HUGE plus but not a deal breaker
Knowledge of working and comfortable navigating the city
Willingness to work with the parents to curate engaging and thoughtful experiences for children, not limited to outings and playdates.
Able to prepare healthy meals: knowledge of food introduction and developmental milestones.
