High Profile Travel Nanny for Three Teens | Ross, CA (San Francisco Bay Area) (FILLED)

We are looking for a  a fun travel nanny for a family with three teens in Ross CA.  They are looking for someone who is a great role model, really responsible, great with boundaries, great communicator and overall really great at connecting with teens.  This position is a little bit of everything.  This is a blended family that really prioritizes family time.  This includes fun travel adventures domestic and international.  Their interest as a family hit all the seasons from hitting the beach to skiing and anything in between.  Since the children are teens, as you can imagine they are defiantly super social; having their friends over is encouraged.  Each child has completely different interests and hobbies.  The entire family lives a really full time.  Lots of travel and adventures.  There is a high level of trust within this position.  Both of parents travel extensively so this role really needs to have someone who is confident to potentially care for the teens full time at the home while parents are not home.  Some weeks could be very full because of this and other much less need.  Flexibility is really important to this family because everyone is home they often will not need the nanny’s support.   Connection is huge for this family!  The correct person for this position will really know how to connect with teenage girls. They will really be able to foster and encourage the girls to try new things and excel at what they are already into.  Most importantly this person will really genially enjoy their time with the children.  The family does has pets (currently 2 cats), and may get a dog in the future.  We think the best part of this job is that is a fully staffed home and we just happen to know the Chief of Staff personally.  So working side by side with her potential projects is also a perk of this job because she is amazing! Being a collaborative and supportive person a MUST! 

Their Ideal candidate person will have experience with teens (especially girls), confident, consistent, responsible, reliable, is a great role model, big heart who understands big teenage emotions.  Someone who is calm and cool under pressure and chaos, who can set great boundaries, who is adventurous, a creative problem solver, excellent at organizing and able to keep the teens on track.  As one can imagine this job in not for someone who doesn’t thrive is fast paced and busy homes.  There is always a project or task that needs to be done.  

Typical tasks: 

  • Key to this job is to come with a CAN DO mentality and no task is too big or small. 

  • Driving kids to and from activities

  • grocery shopping, and family meal preparation for the entire family.  They are open to providing  cooking classes if you are not a great cook

  • Homework support or the ability to identify if someone is in need of additional support in regard to school.  

  • Although they do have a housekeeper, helping to keep common areas put together is a must, kid’s laundry a must. 

  • You must be able to keep a calendar (personal and school in combo with COS) 

  • Appointment setting when needed and pet care for the cats.  

Location: Ross, California

Ages of children: 15, 14, & 13 years old

Start date/Contract dates: Late May or as soon as they find the right fit!

Schedule: Full-time. On a week when the family is not traveling, the candidate will work 40-60 hours/week (for example, Monday-Friday 7 am-7 pm). Flexibility to provide 24-hour care when the parents travel without the children (with as much advance notice as possible will be provided). The nanny will provide family assisting support during school hours, and receive downtime during 24-hour care dates.

Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $120k- $130k/year dependent on experience.

Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including up to 8-10 weeks of paid time off (2 of which will be at the candidate’s choice), paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance. 

Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. (open to providing a temporary landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate). The nanny will be provided with private living quarters in the family home when providing 24/7 care.

OTHER: Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws.
MUSTS:

  • Working and mentoring teens a must .

  • 5 years of experience working in the childcare or related field.

  • Covid 19 vaccinated and boosted

  • CPR/ First Aid certified (current)

  • Open to submitting to a 10 point background check once an offer of employment has been made.

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Able to be paid via W2 and legal to work in the United States.
