This is an all encompassing role with many perks, One being that this nanny will be paid a full-time salary when they are working part time hours for most of the year. Their ideal person is highly motivated and a good self-starter. This position would be awesome for someone who is organized, who is very flexible, who really loves completing lists, who is a self-starter, who thinks ahead, who is emotionally intelligent, who can be told things once and completes tasks with excellence, who likes to travel (international and domestic) , who has an amazing work ethic, and who is overall a Jill of all trades with a solid sense of adventure and zest for life. Someone who is extremely positive, who is flexible but firm, who has the ability to really connect with kids. The position is for two school aged children ages six and nine who are really active and go to a demanding school. Manners and academics are very important to the family so someone who can support the boys with the next phase of their schooling would be excellent. I.e homework help. Duties for this job include anything kid related, running errands, Packing and unpacking for last minute spur the moment trip’s, someone who is open to staying with the children when the parents need to travel,Pick up from school and drop off To activities etc.
Schedule: you MUST be flexible when it comes to the schedule. The bulk of these hours usually happen in the summer, or when mom or dad are traveling at the same time, which they really try not to do at the same time. School year: Monday through Friday Roughly 15-20 hours a week starting around 3/3:30pm. During the summer the family travels to visit family in another state, and you must be able to travel with the family. No exceptions. This would require longer days , and overnights however the family is really good about respecting their nanny’s time. For example If they work a few days straight mom is really good about giving the nanny time off to regroup or if you are asked to work later or get back from a trip late night, you wouldn’t be expected at 6am the next day kind of thing. By no means do they want their nanny to ever get burnt out. Must love dogs! They would absolutely adore and love someone who has an education background, potentially an ex teacher, or someone who has a degree in education or teaching certificate. Most importantly they are looking for someone who could be a good role model, can be mom’s right hand man, and stay for years to come.
Compensation: $40k-$55k per year or DOE
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, sick days, in addition to paid vacation above you would usually get a week off at thanksgiving, Christmas, off spring break (lots of time off) medical stipend after 90 days, Full relocation package offered for the right candidate. The family has a guest house that will be used for transition
